On Arrival: Trim 2 to 3 centimetres from the base of each stem at a diagonal angle and place immediately in a clean vase with fresh, cool water. Remove any leaves below the waterline.
Water: Change the water every two days and re-trim the stems each time. Sunflowers are thirsty flowers and drink generously, so check the water level daily and top up as needed.
Position: Place in a bright spot, as sunflowers naturally thrive in light. Avoid direct heat sources and keep away from draughts, which can cause the heads to droop prematurely.
Longevity: With consistent care, your sunflowers should remain vibrant and upright for seven to ten days.
