On Arrival: Trim 2 to 3 centimetres from each stem at a diagonal angle and remove any leaves below the waterline before placing in a clean vase with fresh, cool water.
Water: Change the water every two days and re-trim the stems each time. Chrysanthemums are excellent water drinkers, so check the water level daily and top up as needed.
Position: Place in a cool spot with good indirect light, away from direct sun, heating vents and ripening fruit. Chrysanthemums particularly dislike heat, and a cooler environment will reward you with significantly longer vase life.
Feeding: If a flower food sachet is provided, use it - chrysanthemums respond well to supplemental nutrients in the water.
Longevity: Chrysanthemums are among the longest-lasting of all cut flowers. With consistent care, your Crissy bouquet should remain fresh and beautiful for ten to fourteen days, and often longer.
